A tweet-based journal of what I’ve been playing…
Auro by @DinofarmGames is one of my favorite games ever. It has recently been re-coded in Unity to be future-proof and received a couple updates since then. It's in an amazing state. Check it out if you haven't yet and get into the tactics combo flow!https://t.co/aunINhQWji pic.twitter.com/aKcIxJmLEk

"I'd like to buy ALL the turkeys please!"
– "Oh, are you starting your own farm?" 😊

Played the @CrownTrickGame demo and I really like how it is centered around ability usage, positioning and attack patterns. This could become a flagship of modern #roguelike design. pic.twitter.com/vo94mysKDR

Despite its action-based gameplay, Spelunky stays true to its #roguelike roots. The only things you keep between runs are your knowledge and skill.
That's why this feels like a big achievement, but also just the beginning of the journey. Thanks for these emotions @mossmouth! 🙂 pic.twitter.com/yYHlnQfGyb

Am I the only one thinking the sound of you burning up in the sun in Amnesia: Rebirth feels a little too delicious? 😛 pic.twitter.com/l5HvioZDRQ

Looks like I built a very appropriate team for today in @TheMonsterTrain! Trick or treat?#HappyHalloween2020 pic.twitter.com/8cTubZFVYr

So Möbius Front '83 is a new game by @zachtronics, which is why I bought it. I was surprised to find there's no twist to its gameplay. It's a traditional tactical wargame. As usual, it's very well-made, efficient and has a terrific UI. Just don't expect unique mechanics. pic.twitter.com/4PDyBYkhxa

I like how enemies in Vault of the Void don't immediately hit you, but add their attack to a "threat stack" which will deal damage one turn later. It pushes enemy actions more towards input rather than output randomness and allows you to plan around them a little more. pic.twitter.com/6QfQ3xO9Gb

Received my copy of @keithburgun's Dragon Bridge today! Can't wait to dive into it! 🤩 pic.twitter.com/wFGlrSSkT8

Not sure if anyone but @rodneylives remembers the first-person #roguelike Dungeon Hack, but @DamianSchloter's Slasher's Keep feels a bit like its modern reincarnation. It has quirks (some feel intentional, others don't), but if you're itching for a first-person RL, check it out! pic.twitter.com/NqhBdHy2zc

Had a productive evening installing a @Raspberry_Pi inside a @RetroFlagcase.
I made it boot right into #pico8 via this handy script: https://t.co/WFCrTukcgU@lexaloffle's "fantasy console" works really well as a handheld. Gonna (re-)discover some of those amazing carts now! 🤩 pic.twitter.com/N38OVE39cy

Got addicted to #pico8 on the @RetroFlagcase…

Even to this day the SNES version of Shiren the Wanderer is among the best #roguelike games ever (the DS one was pretty good to from what little I played of it).
Now there's a new Shiren game out on Steam, so time to check that out!
Any opinions yet @rodneylives? pic.twitter.com/4MeGei84Pl

Having just started a few of my own #pico8 endeavors, it's shocking and amazing to see that a thing like this is possible! Not that I'd deviate from making 2D strategy games, but still – incredicle job @FSouchu and @gamecactus! 👏 pic.twitter.com/G1UIQWyEYd

Guess I'm officially into that whole handheld thing now. Here's the RG351P running #pico8 (more specifically the really cool #roguelike Porklike by @LazyDevsAcademy). pic.twitter.com/eXiE4bq4Xc

Who knew Konami made a Game Boy #roguelike in 1991? It's called Cave Noire and throws you into a random dungeon with a random set of items. pic.twitter.com/U30XezpPiW

Really neat game! Love how the sound design makes you create melodies through play! 🎶 https://t.co/27JNndpNm2

Put a shiny checkerboard pattern on the wings of my plane. Drove it straight into a tree. 10/10 would play again! ✈️ https://t.co/nBNFpeMHoU

Finally found some time to sink into Disc Room and it's exactly as efficient and focused as it looks! ⚙️
In that sense it reminds me of @terrycavanagh's Super Hexagon. Certainly a great game to be reminiscent of! pic.twitter.com/TzecTw8TM6

As expected, @ProdeusGame is a neat and polished old-school FPS experience. It's challenging and doesn't drown you in feel-good or "progression" mechanics.
Also, more of a me-thing, I like how the program just feels so "lightweight" to boot up compared to most modern 3D games. pic.twitter.com/BfrVdv5H9q

Children of Morta is probably one of the most beautiful roguelike-ish games I've played. The gameplay however is too conventional for my taste to hold my interest for long. pic.twitter.com/omfEShMqjg
